Aïcha M. Camara
Data Scientist, Developer, Journalist

Chicago, Illinois
I am a Technologist, Data Nerd, and Journalist fascinated by the intersection of technology, public policy, and social impact.
With a passion for investigative journalism, responsible technology, and government transparency, I use data and research to uncover patterns, address critical questions, and provide insights to shape a more inclusive and equitable tech landscape. From analyzing hard-to-reach data to improve government transparency to exploring the ethical implications of artificial intelligence frameworks and uncovering systemic injustices within surveillance technology, I strive to leverage computational analysis to investigate and share resources that drive change.
In my current role as a Data Scientist - I apply rigorous statistical techniques and programming expertise to analyze complex datasets, develop data-driven solutions, and extract actionable insights to tackle policy challenges. I hold an M.S. in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
When I’m not programming, I can be found collecting stamps for my National Park Passport, exploring new hiking trails, or testing new recipes.
